Root canal treatment (endodontics)
When deep decay, a fracture or an infection reach the nerve, a root canal saves the tooth.
We remove the damaged tissue inside the tooth, carefully clean and disinfect the canals, and seal them to prevent new infections.
This relieves the pain, stops the infection and preserves your natural tooth, avoiding extraction in many cases.

What is a root canal?
It is the treatment that saves a tooth whose nerve was damaged by decay, a fracture or infection. The inside of the tooth is cleaned, the canals are disinfected and sealed to preserve the tooth.
Does a root canal hurt?
The procedure is done with anesthesia, so you should not feel pain during treatment. In fact, a root canal removes the pain the infection was causing. There may be some soreness for a few days, managed with what we prescribe.
How much does a root canal cost?
It depends on the tooth and how many canals it has. At your checkup with an X-ray we give you the exact price and plan before starting.
Is it better to pull the tooth or do a root canal?
It is almost always better to keep your natural tooth: it preserves your bite and bone. Extraction leaves a gap you later solve with an implant or bridge. We assess your case and give you the best option.
